These Terms of Service are part of the User Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding contract between you and Fanz®, LLC governing your use of the Fanz® platform and all related services. You should read these Terms in full, but here are the key points:
You must be at least 13 years old: Users under 18 require verifiable parental or guardian consent, and certain features such as marketplace transactions and monetization require you to be at least 18.
Fanz® is a sports social media platform: We provide features including user profiles, sports content feeds, live scores, prediction games, a marketplace, and NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) participation tools for athletes.
You own your content but grant us a license: You retain all ownership rights in content you post, but you grant Fanz® a broad, royalty-free license to host, display, distribute, and promote that content across the platform.
You will see advertising: In exchange for accessing the Services, Fanz® and our third-party providers and partners may display advertising to you. All sponsored content must comply with FTC disclosure requirements.
Prediction features are free-to-play and are not gambling: Our prediction and gaming features are entertainment-only, free-to-play experiences. No real money wagering is permitted.
Disputes are resolved through binding arbitration: You agree to resolve most disputes through individual binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association rules, with a class action waiver, governed by Colorado law.
Our liability is limited: The Services are provided "AS IS" and our aggregate liability is capped at the greater of $100 USD or the fees you paid us in the preceding 12 months.
These Terms incorporate our Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, and other policies referenced herein. Please review all related documents carefully.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your relationship with Fanz®, LLC and your access to and use of our services, including the Fanz® website, mobile applications, APIs, notification systems, and all other covered services that link to these Terms (collectively, the "Services"). Any information, text, links, graphics, photos, audio, videos, data, or other materials uploaded, downloaded, or appearing on the Services are collectively referred to as "Content." By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
These Terms are an agreement between you and Fanz®, LLC, headquartered in Colorado 80550, USA. The words "we," "us," and "our" refer to Fanz®, LLC. "You" and "your" refer to you as an individual or any entity you are authorized to represent.
These Terms should be read together with the following policies, which are incorporated by reference:
You may use the Services only if you are capable of forming a binding contract with Fanz®, LLC and are not barred from receiving services under the laws of any applicable jurisdiction. You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account or use the Services.
If you are between the ages of 13 and 17, you may use the Services only with the verified consent and ongoing supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms on your behalf. Your parent or guardian is fully responsible for your activity on the platform and any consequences arising from your use.
Certain features of the Services require you to be at least 18 years of age. These include, but are not limited to: marketplace buying and selling, monetization and creator payment programs, NIL deals and athlete compensation features, and the purchase or redemption of Fanz® Credits or other virtual currency. We reserve the right to require age verification before granting access to age-restricted features.
If you are accepting these Terms on behalf of a company, organization, sports team, educational institution, or other legal entity, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
To access most features of the Services, you must register for an account. When registering, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep your account information updated at all times. You may not use false or misleading information, impersonate another person, or register an account on behalf of someone else without their express permission.
You are solely responsible for safeguarding the security of your account. You should choose a strong, unique password and enable two-factor authentication where available. You must not share your login credentials with any third party. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not you authorized it.
You must notify Fanz® immediately at legal@fanz.us if you become aware of any unauthorized access to or use of your account. Fanz® will not be liable for any losses or damages arising from unauthorized use of your account where you have failed to maintain the security of your credentials.
Each individual may maintain only one personal account. Fanz® reserves the right to reclaim, reassign, or disable usernames at its discretion, including usernames that are inactive for an extended period, that infringe on trademarks, or that are misleading.
Fanz® is a sports-focused social media platform designed to connect fans, athletes, creators, and sports organizations. The Services provide a variety of features and functionalities, which may include but are not limited to the following:
The Services are continually evolving. We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature, functionality, or aspect of the Services at any time and at our sole discretion, with or without notice. We are not obligated to maintain or support any particular feature.
You retain all ownership rights in Content you create, upload, post, or share through the Services. By submitting Content to the platform, you grant Fanz®, LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to use, copy, reproduce, process, adapt, modify, publish, transmit, display, and distribute your Content in any and all media formats and distribution channels now known or developed in the future. This license enables us to operate, promote, and improve the Services and to make your Content available to other users of the platform.
This license continues for as long as your Content remains on the platform. If you remove your Content, we will cease distribution within a commercially reasonable time, except that (a) Content that has been shared, reposted, or cached by other users or third parties may persist, and (b) Fanz® may retain copies for backup, archival, legal compliance, or audit purposes.
By posting Content, you represent and warrant that: (a) you own or have obtained all rights, licenses, consents, and permissions necessary to grant the rights described in these Terms; (b) your Content does not and will not infringe, misappropriate, or violate any third party's intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights; (c) your Content complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and these Terms; and (d) your Content does not contain any viruses, malware, or other harmful code.
You may not post, upload, or share Content that violates our Community Guidelines or that falls within the following categories:
The Services, including all software, design, text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio, video, data compilations, the Fanz® name, and all other materials and technology comprising the platform, are the exclusive property of Fanz®, LLC or its licensors and are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, patent, and other intellectual property laws. For complete details on our intellectual property protections, please review our IP & Trademark Policy.
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to access and use the Services solely for their intended purposes and in accordance with these Terms and the Fan License Agreement. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or interest in the Services or our intellectual property except for the limited license described herein.
The Services may include content, data, trademarks, logos, and other materials owned by third parties, including sports leagues, teams, broadcasters, data providers, and other partners. All such third-party intellectual property remains the property of its respective owners. Your use of the Services does not grant you any license or right to use any third-party intellectual property unless expressly authorized by the relevant rights holder.
If you believe that any content on the platform infringes your intellectual property rights, please submit a notice in accordance with our DMCA Policy or contact our designated copyright agent at copyright@fanz.us.
Fanz® provides tools and features that enable eligible athletes to monetize their Name, Image, and Likeness ("NIL") through sponsorship deals, endorsements, promotional content, appearances, and other commercial opportunities facilitated through the platform. Full details regarding NIL programs are available in our Sponsor & NIL Policy.
Athlete Eligibility: Participation in NIL programs is available only to athletes who are at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in their jurisdiction, if higher), who have been identity-verified by Fanz®, and who are in compliance with all applicable NCAA, conference, state, or other governing body NIL regulations. Athletes under 18 may participate in limited NIL activities only with verified parental or guardian consent and in accordance with the COPPA and Minor Protection Addendum below.
Compliance Responsibility: Athletes are solely responsible for ensuring that their NIL activities on the platform comply with the rules of their educational institution, athletic conference, governing body, and all applicable federal, state, and local laws. Fanz® does not guarantee compliance with any particular governing body's rules and does not serve as a legal advisor.
Platform Role: Fanz® acts as a facilitator and technology provider for NIL opportunities. Fanz® is not a party to any NIL agreement between athletes and sponsors unless expressly stated otherwise in a separate written agreement. Fanz® may charge service fees, commissions, or platform fees in connection with NIL transactions, which will be disclosed to you prior to completion of any transaction.
Fanz® reserves the right to suspend or remove any athlete from NIL programs at any time if we reasonably believe their participation violates these Terms, applicable laws, or the policies of their governing body.
In exchange for providing you access to the Services, you agree that Fanz® and its third-party advertising partners may display advertisements, promotions, and sponsored content on or in connection with the Services, including within content feeds, profiles, notifications, and messaging interfaces.
Sponsored Content and Endorsements: Users who create or share sponsored content, paid endorsements, or promotional materials on the platform must clearly and conspicuously disclose any material connection with sponsors, advertisers, or brands in compliance with the Federal Trade Commission ("FTC") Endorsement Guides and all other applicable advertising laws and regulations. This includes but is not limited to the use of clear disclosure labels such as "#ad," "#sponsored," or the platform's built-in sponsorship disclosure tools.
Advertiser Relationships: Fanz® does not endorse or guarantee any product, service, or claim made by third-party advertisers or sponsors. Transactions between you and any advertiser or sponsor found on the platform are solely between you and the advertiser, and Fanz® shall not be responsible or liable for any loss or damage arising from such transactions.

Certain Services may involve paid features, marketplace transactions, tipping, subscriptions, or the use of virtual currency. By engaging in any financial transaction through the platform, you agree to the following:
Fanz® Credits: Fanz® may offer a virtual currency system known as "Fanz® Credits" that can be earned, purchased, or awarded within the platform. Fanz® Credits are not real currency, do not have cash value outside the platform, and cannot be exchanged for cash except as expressly permitted by Fanz® in writing. Fanz® Credits are non-transferable, non-refundable, and may only be used for their designated purposes within the Services, including but not limited to tipping creators, unlocking premium content, entering special contests, or purchasing virtual goods.
Payment Processing: All monetary transactions are processed through authorized third-party payment processors. You agree to comply with the terms and conditions of such payment processors. Fanz® is not responsible for errors, delays, or failures caused by third-party payment providers.
Marketplace Transactions: The Fanz® marketplace enables eligible users (aged 18 and older) to buy, sell, and trade sports-related goods. Fanz® acts as a platform intermediary and is not a party to any transaction between buyers and sellers unless expressly stated. Sellers are responsible for the accuracy of their listings, the legality of their goods, and fulfillment of orders. Buyers assume the risk of transactions with third-party sellers. Fanz® may charge transaction fees or commissions on marketplace sales, which will be disclosed at the time of listing or purchase.
Refund Policy: Except as required by applicable law or as explicitly provided in a separate Fanz® refund policy, all purchases and transactions made through the Services are final and non-refundable. Fanz® reserves the right to modify pricing, credit values, and available virtual goods at any time.
Tax Responsibility: You are solely responsible for any taxes, duties, or other governmental charges that apply to transactions you conduct through the platform, including income earned through creator monetization, marketplace sales, or NIL activities. Fanz® may be required to report certain payment information to tax authorities.
Fanz® offers prediction contests, pick'em challenges, fantasy-style games, leaderboard competitions, and other interactive sports entertainment features (collectively, "Gaming Features"). All Gaming Features on Fanz® are free-to-play and are intended solely for entertainment purposes. Gaming Features do not constitute gambling, sports betting, or any form of real-money wagering.
No Monetary Stakes: Participation in Gaming Features does not require any payment of real money. Users may earn Fanz® Credits, badges, leaderboard rankings, virtual rewards, or other non-monetary prizes. Any prizes offered in connection with Gaming Features will be clearly described, and their distribution will be at Fanz®'s sole discretion in accordance with applicable contest rules.
Accuracy of Results: Prediction outcomes and scoring are based on data from third-party sports data providers. While we strive for accuracy, Fanz® does not guarantee the correctness, completeness, or timeliness of scores, statistics, or results used to determine prediction outcomes. Fanz® reserves the right to adjust, void, or correct results at any time if errors are identified.
Fair Play: You agree to participate in Gaming Features honestly and in good faith. The use of bots, automation, multiple accounts, collusion, insider information, or any other method to gain an unfair advantage is strictly prohibited. Violations may result in disqualification, forfeiture of rewards, and account suspension or termination.
Fanz® makes no representations regarding the legality of Gaming Features in your jurisdiction. You are solely responsible for determining whether your participation complies with applicable local, state, and federal laws.
Our Privacy Policy explains how Fanz® collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects your personal information when you use the Services. The Privacy Policy is incorporated into and forms part of these Terms.
By using the Services, you consent to the collection and processing of your information as described in the Privacy Policy, including the transfer and storage of your information in the United States and other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. You acknowledge that data protection laws in these jurisdictions may differ from those in your home jurisdiction.
We take the privacy and protection of minors seriously. Users under 18 are subject to additional data collection limitations as described in the COPPA and Minor Protection Addendum to these Terms and in our Privacy Policy. Parents and guardians may exercise specific rights regarding their children's data as set forth in those documents.
Fanz® employs a combination of automated systems, user reporting mechanisms, and human review to identify and address Content that violates these Terms, our Community Guidelines, or applicable law. While we strive to maintain a safe and welcoming environment, we do not pre-screen all Content and cannot guarantee that all violating Content will be identified or removed promptly. We rely on our community to report violations.
Fanz® reserves the right, but has no obligation, to take enforcement action against users or Content that violates these Terms. Enforcement actions may include, at our sole discretion:
We may also suspend or terminate accounts for reasons including prolonged inactivity, risk of legal exposure to Fanz®, engagement in unlawful conduct, or if continued provision of the Services to you is no longer commercially viable.
You may terminate your agreement with Fanz® and close your account at any time by using the account deactivation tools provided within the Services or by contacting us at legal@fanz.us. Upon termination, your right to use the Services will immediately cease. We may retain certain information as required by law, for legitimate business purposes, or to enforce these Terms. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect, including but not limited to Sections 4, 5, 12, 13, 14, and 15.

YOUR ACCESS TO AND USE OF THE SERVICES IS AT YOUR OWN RISK. THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, FANZ, LLC AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, PARTNERS, AND LICENSORS (COLLECTIVELY, THE "FANZ ENTITIES") EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
THE FANZ ENTITIES MAKE NO WARRANTY OR REPRESENTATION REGARDING: (i) THE COMPLETENESS, ACCURACY, AVAILABILITY, TIMELINESS, SECURITY, OR RELIABILITY OF THE SERVICES OR ANY CONTENT; (ii) ANY HARM TO YOUR DEVICE OR LOSS OF DATA RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES; (iii) THE DELETION OF, OR FAILURE TO STORE OR TRANSMIT, ANY CONTENT; (iv) WHETHER THE SERVICES WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS OR BE AVAILABLE ON AN UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE BASIS; OR (v) THE ACCURACY OF ANY SPORTS DATA, SCORES, STATISTICS, PREDICTIONS, OR OTHER INFORMATION PROVIDED THROUGH THE SERVICES.
YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT CONTENT POSTED BY USERS IS THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE USER WHO POSTED IT. FANZ DOES NOT ENDORSE, VERIFY, OR GUARANTEE THE ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF ANY USER CONTENT, ADVERTISEMENTS, OR THIRD-PARTY MATERIALS AVAILABLE THROUGH THE SERVICES. YOU MAY BE EXPOSED TO CONTENT THAT IS OFFENSIVE, HARMFUL, INACCURATE, OR OTHERWISE OBJECTIONABLE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:
THE FANZ ENTITIES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUES, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY (WHETHER CONTRACT, TORT, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE), EVEN IF THE FANZ ENTITIES HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO:
IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF THE FANZ ENTITIES EXCEED THE GREATER OF ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100.00) OR THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID TO FANZ, IF ANY, DURING THE TWELVE (12) MONTH PERIOD IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
THE LIMITATIONS OF THIS SECTION SHALL APPLY TO ANY THEORY OF LIABILITY, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, STATUTE, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), OR OTHERWISE, AND WHETHER OR NOT THE FANZ ENTITIES HAVE BEEN INFORMED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Fanz® Entities from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, damages, losses, costs, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees and court costs) arising out of or in connection with:
Fanz® reserves the right, at its own expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you, in which event you will cooperate fully with Fanz® in asserting any available defenses. This indemnification obligation will survive the termination of these Terms and your use of the Services.
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or the Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. To the extent that any legal proceeding is permitted outside of arbitration (as described below), you and Fanz® consent to the exclusive personal jurisdiction of, and venue in, the state and federal courts located in Weld County, Colorado.
You and Fanz® agree to resolve any and all disputes, claims, or controversies arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services through final and binding individual arbitration, rather than in court, except as provided in Section 15.4 below. Arbitration shall be administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under its Consumer Arbitration Rules then in effect. The arbitration will be conducted by a single arbitrator, and the arbitrator's decision will be final and binding. Judgment on the award rendered by the arbitrator may be entered in any court having jurisdiction.
The arbitration shall take place in Weld County, Colorado, or at another mutually agreed-upon location, or via telephone, video conference, or written submissions if agreed to by both parties or directed by the arbitrator. Each party shall bear its own costs of arbitration, except that Fanz® will pay the filing and administrative fees for arbitration if required by the AAA rules or applicable law.
YOU AND FANZ AGREE THAT EACH PARTY MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS ACTION, COLLECTIVE ACTION, REPRESENTATIVE ACTION, OR CONSOLIDATED PROCEEDING. The arbitrator shall not have the authority to consolidate claims or to conduct any class, collective, or representative proceeding. If this class action waiver is found to be unenforceable with respect to a particular claim, then the entirety of Section 15 (Dispute Resolution and Arbitration) shall be deemed void as to that claim only, and the claim shall proceed in court.
Notwithstanding the arbitration agreement above, either party may bring an individual action in small claims court in Weld County, Colorado (or the county in which you reside) for disputes that fall within the jurisdictional limits of the small claims court, provided that the action remains in small claims court and is not removed or transferred to a court of general jurisdiction. Additionally, nothing in this Section prevents either party from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent the actual or threatened infringement, misappropriation, or violation of intellectual property rights or confidential information.
Fanz® reserves the right to modify, amend, or update these Terms at any time at our sole discretion. When we make changes, we will revise the "Effective Date" at the top of these Terms and, for material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to provide you with advance notice through the Services (such as an in-app notification or banner), by email, or through other appropriate communication channels.
Changes will not be applied retroactively and will become effective no sooner than fourteen (14) calendar days after they are posted, unless the changes address newly available features of the Services or are required for legal or security reasons, in which case they may take effect immediately.
By continuing to access or use the Services after updated Terms become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Services and close your account. The most current version of the Terms will always be available on this page.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, and all other policies and documents incorporated by reference herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and Fanz®, LLC with respect to the subject matter hereof and supersede all prior or contemporaneous agreements, understandings, negotiations, representations, and warranties, whether written or oral, relating to such subject matter.
If any provision of these Terms is held by a court or arbitrator of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable for any reason, such provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, or if modification is not possible, it shall be severed from these Terms. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision shall not affect the validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions, which shall continue in full force and effect.
The failure of Fanz® to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. No waiver of any term of these Terms shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or any other term. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by an authorized representative of Fanz® to be effective.
You may not assign or transfer these Terms, or any rights or obligations hereunder, in whole or in part, without the prior written consent of Fanz®, LLC. Any attempted assignment or transfer in violation of this provision shall be null and void. Fanz® may assign or transfer these Terms, or any rights or obligations hereunder, in whole or in part, without restriction and without notice, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of all or substantially all of its assets.
Fanz® shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these Terms to the extent that such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, pandemics, epidemics, war, terrorism, riots, civil unrest, government actions or orders, labor disputes, power failures, internet or telecommunications infrastructure failures, cyberattacks, or disruptions caused by third-party service providers. During any such event, Fanz®'s obligations under these Terms will be suspended for the duration of the force majeure event.

Children's Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance
Fanz® is committed to protecting the privacy and safety of minors who use our platform. This Addendum supplements the Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy with additional protections for users under the age of 18, and specifically addresses our obligations under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA") for users under the age of 13 (where applicable) and between the ages of 13 and 17.
Fanz® requires all users to provide their date of birth during account registration. Users who indicate they are under the age of 13 will be denied account creation. We employ age-gating mechanisms at the point of registration and may implement additional age verification procedures as technology and regulatory requirements evolve.
For access to age-restricted features (including marketplace transactions, monetization, and NIL programs), users must verify they are at least 18 years of age through additional verification steps as determined by Fanz®.
Users between the ages of 13 and 17 must obtain verifiable consent from a parent or legal guardian before creating an account and using the Services. Fanz® employs methods reasonably calculated to ensure that the person providing consent is, in fact, the minor's parent or legal guardian. These methods may include email-based consent with follow-up verification, credit card verification for consent purposes, signed consent forms, or other mechanisms compliant with COPPA and applicable state laws.
The consenting parent or guardian agrees to be bound by these Terms on behalf of the minor and assumes full responsibility for the minor's activity on the platform.
For users identified as minors (under 18), Fanz® limits the collection of personal information to what is reasonably necessary to provide the Services. Specifically:

Limited Exceptions for Minor Athletes: Minor athletes (ages 13-17) may participate in certain NIL-related activities on the platform, but only with verified parental or guardian consent, a co-signed participation agreement, and compliance with all applicable state and institutional NIL regulations. All compensation earned by minor athletes through the platform will be subject to parental oversight and may be held in escrow or paid to a custodial account as required by applicable law. Fanz® will cooperate with educational institutions, athletic departments, and governing bodies to ensure that our platform tools support compliance with applicable NIL regulations affecting student-athletes. We may restrict or modify features available to minor athletes if necessary to maintain compliance with institutional or regulatory requirements.
